I’m going to start this off as honestly as I can–I fully recognize that I’m a copywriter, so my hot take on this is probably going to sound pretty biased. 

But I also want you to understand that I get why investing in a copywriter (especially if you’ve never worked with one before) can feel like a tough sell. 

Hiring a copywriter or content writer (and yes, they’re different!) will undoubtedly cost you money. 

Because it costs money, you probably think it’s stealing from the budget you’ve allocated for other things–like customer acquisition, client retention, customer service strategies, etc.

Here’s the thing–copywriting is an investment that helps you with all of those things. 

I can’t stress how wrong these thoughts are. 

The reality is that strategic content written in your brand’s voice is going to resonate better with your target audience. It also can provide valuable touch points, offer insights, and create stronger connections with your audience, too.

Investing in your business in a way that doesn’t feel like you’re investing directly into your customers can be a challenge. 

As a business owner myself, I definitely understand bridging that gap and trying to wrap my head around spending more money on something that I can’t visualize helping. 

But here’s the thing–investing in your business is investing in your clients.
